Alternative Logo Design.

In today's lesson with Adam Guy, we was carrying on our logo designs and updating our blogs. I managed to pick out an alternative logo design i sketched up and vector it. The vectored version differs to the sketch one slightly, but im happy with the outcome.

One Weekend Of Summer Love.

Influences - Pt.2

Fashion Graphics.

Im a fan of here style, they have made some nice desig

ns for Boxfresh Print Tee's.

But the piece that caught my eye was there homepage piece. Here it is.

There are a few designs on this piece,

that i would like to try and use in my own style,

for my own piece of work.

Think i might try and branch a few ideas for a font aswell!

Futura 2000. Very unique style in what he does!

But its so smart how he works.

I was looking at some of his stuff on his website and other sites.

And these were my 2 favorite pieces.

Mode 2.

This guy influences me so much when it comes to fonts and drawing,

his style is so clean, and keeps strong proportion in all of his work!

This piece underneath has influenced me to try a font of my own.

Enhanced Logo

Here are 4 different colour ways of my "ih" logo.

Firstly a black outline with a grey/blue colour and silver in-shade.

Secondly, is the same outline, but this time an electric pink and a lighter pink in-shade.

Third design. Black outline, with a more clear blue and light blue in-shade.

Final design i done. I tried a different colour outline.

Done the same in-shade colour as my first design with the black outline.

My favorite design is probably the first or second one.

I just like the in-shade colour i used.

Influences

These are just a few of the things that influence me.

This is a piece of art done by Swifty Typografix. Currently an artist that im really into, his style is so unique, but very effective. I love the way he work, like his fonts have that jazz feel to them. The colour ways that he uses when he works are very nice and clean. I've started to study his style and tried to work around some pieces of his that influence me.

The Hundreds. This is a clothing make based in LA, and i always follow there blog. I've took a strong liking to their clothing, and it gives me idea's for my clothing which im currently working on. The logo above which is shown, is "Adam Bomb" I just love the simplicity, but the red and yellow 'bang' effect make it much more effective and appealing.

Here is a picture of a music producer, called 'SamiYam' He makes like experimental/hip-hop instrumentals. I've put him as an influence because his music is different from anyone else's in his genre field. Which makes me think, if its capable in music, why not anything else? When i listen to his music, i just zone out and like to sketch/design a few things!

Super Mario World - SNES. A big game which i still play to this day, love the comparison of graphics on a Super Nintendo, in juxtaposition to say a PS3, which now runs on High Def graphics. I still have got a strong love for the retro consoles, like SNES, Sega Mega Drive, Atari etc.

Logo

In Adam Guy's lesson on the 1/2/2010, we was having a second group discussion about our favorite logo's. Then we had to go on to sketch up a few logo's for ourselves to apply to our book covers instead of just writing our names on them. This is what i done.

Here is my page, didn't get much down but favored the bottom left logo, then i decided to scan it onto the macs and develop it in illustrator. Here is what i got.
